Kelly Hammonds

University of Pittsburgh, Assistant AD of Broadcast and Video Production

Kelly Hammonds joined the University of Pittsburgh athletic department in May of 2010 as the PantherVision production coordinator and was promoted to the assistant athletic director of broadcast and video production in July of 2017. Hammonds manages ACC Network broadcast operations and live video production for all Pitt athletics videoboards.

Hammonds has played an integral role in the athletic department’s live broadcasting partnerships, beginning with the launch of Pitt Panthers Television on The Comcast Network in September of 2010, the transition to ESPN3 programming in September of 2013, and the launch of the ACC Network Extra in July of 2016. As production coordinator, Hammonds assisted in the design and engineering of the athletic department’s remote venue production infrastructure, making it possible to live broadcast on ESPN3 from the Fitzgerald Field House and the Petersen Sports Complex. As part of the launch of the ACC Network Extra in 2016, Hammonds oversees broadcast operations for nine sports and 120 annual home events.

Hammonds is a 2009 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor of arts degree in media and professional communications. She interned in the Pitt athletic department from 2008 - 2010, as well as for NFL Films in 2009, and the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2009 - 2010.
