2019 is a huge year for many in college–sports-video production. Broadcast facilities and live-event programming schedules are being built out at rates never before seen. For college–sports-video-production professionals, it has never been more critical to remain dialed-in to the latest developments in technology, content development, and distribution strategies. Fortunately, some of the sharpest minds from across college–sports-video production will again be sharing their experiences and expertise next month at the 11th-annual SVG College Summit (May 29-31, Omni Hotel at CNN Center, Atlanta).

Two Division I conferences firmly in the limelight are the Atlantic Coast Conference, which will launch its highly anticipated ACC Network this summer in partnership with ESPN, and The Ivy League, which became the first collegiate conference to go all-in with its live content on ESPN’s direct-to-consumer streaming platform, ESPN+. Both moves have required massive expansions in facilities and, in some cases, staffing and offer a high-end peek at the latest developments in live sports-video production at the collegiate level.

A pair of sessions at the SVG College Summit are dedicated to offering a deep dive into each case, how it is impacting numerous video teams at athletic departments across the country, and what other schools and conferences can learn from them.
